The system uses cameras to identify vehicles (Vehicle ID) as they enter the parking facility. The vehicle data is then matched at the exit to complete the transaction. No more tickets, pass-cards or other media are required.

What is Vehicle ID?
Vehicle ID is a technology that has been developed by Sensor Dynamics that combines multiple datapoints to accurately match vehicles. This makes the system much more accurate than a standard system just using license plate recognition. The data includes:
- License plate (LPR/ALPR/ANPR)
- Make of vehicle
- Model of Vehicle
- Colour of Vehicle
- Type of Vehicle
Why is vehicle matching important?
Matching the vehicle that entered to the exit transaction is critical for a ticketless parking system. Mismatched or unmatched vehicles at exit means lost revenue. It can also result in wasted operational time answering intercom calls from upset customers.
